Hummingbird Garden (Jardin des colibris)

”Hummingbird Garden” is a piece where traditional French boutis and contemporary machine quilting are integrated and share the canvas.

The boutis design was started in Montpellier, France in 2013. It was only in 2018 that it was completed with a border of free motion machine quilting. It was finished in time to enter into Quilt Canada 2018, where it received first place in the category of “First Time Exhibitor”.
