Sakura Blush
Traditional Boutis
”Sakura Blush” was designed for the Cherry Blossom exhibition held in 2024 at the Silk Purse Gallery in
West Vancouver, Canada
The boutis design was again inspired by the incredible cherry blossoms that burst into bloom every spring along the west coast signifying its special relationship with Japan and their custom of Hanami.

Technique: Hand Stitched French Boutis, Applique, Reverse Applique
Boutis Center: 6” x 7” (15 cm x 17.5 cm (Right)

Boutis is translucent when held up against the light.
